So is Endome (from Lost City of Barakus) and Don Eamon (from Grey Citadel), Ravenloft Castle, etc. maintenance costs, how much money could be made from the nearby forests, how many people they would need to hire to work the lands, all that.Īpple Grove, from some Dungeon mag adventure (one about a hag and some stew she was making) is another similiar example, then Agrovale, a self willed Skeleton Warrior from another Dungeon mag adventure is another campaign fixture of mine. I actually had to break out XRP's MMS: Western Europe to determine how much money they could make off of the olive oil harvest, grape harvest, etc. But that is because the players accpeted the lands from Lady Morrick and then developed the lands. I've kept thinking about this, and the only criteria I have been able to come up with for narrowing things down is what adventure/mod has had the single most impact on my campaigns. I don't see how you can narrow it down to so few. So can you name just a few? I obvioulsy can't. Coin Trilogy from Kenzer/Kalamar, Freeport modules, etc. Other great 3E only modules, IMO, are Rappan Athuk: Reloaded, Morrick Mansion, Tomb of Abysthor, Doom of Listonshire, Lost City of Barakus, Grey Citadel, Halls of the Rainbow Mage, (yes, I know they are all by Necromancer, there is a reason I am a fanboy of theirs), NeMorans Vault (Fiery Dragon), and again, there are many more I would still love to name. So can you even name a "single greatest module", let alone narrow it down to a handful? to Barrier Peaks, Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun, Sabre River, Death's Ride, and many, many, more. Then there is Castle D'Amberville, Keep on the Borderlands, Egg of the Phoenix, the Bloodstone Mine modules, Exp. Like I am really loving what I have been able to do based on TLG's A1 module (and supplemental/accompanying "A1" mods). With Ravenloft (I 6) and Lost Caverns of Tsojanth being runner ups.īut there are tons of excellent mods over the years. Like on ENWorld I named the one I find the most fun for viscious PC death, Lich Lords by Mayfair. I imagine you are probably like me in that it is hard to name just one, let alone a few, because so many mods are great for different reasons. This is on ENWorld, but I am much more iinterested in this boards opinon, since we obviously think much more alike (we all like C&C for much the same reasons).
